Patch Highlights
New Game Mode: Brawl!

Our newest game mode, Brawl, comes out with this patch! Brawl is designed to be a quick game mode where teams of five battle over a small area, killing each other and pushing minions into the enemy base to win. It's a low-strategy, high-action, mode where games run about 10 minutes each. Think ARAM, but you get to pick your favorite champ, don't have to worry about things like objectives or towers, and you can focus on the pure team death match vibes.
Each team will start with 250 health and the first team to reduce the opponent's health to 0 wins.
You can reduce your enemy teams health by:
- Takedowns on enemy champions deals 5 damage to the enemy team.
- While the enemy team is not at low health, takedowns on enemy minions also deal 1 damage.
- Pushing your minions into your opponent's Bandle portal deals 1 damage each.
You'll find some interesting camps on the side of the singular lane that will have some powerful buffs and gold available to be claimed, but you'll need to find a balance of taking these while not letting your opponent push into your portal!
We're excited to see people jump into Brawl and try out our newest mode. As always, please tell us what you think about it! We'll be monitoring the data and your feedback on socials to make adjustments as needed. Enjoy and we'll see you in Bandle City!
Brawl Activation Schedule:
- EUW, EUN, RU, TR, ME1: 5/14 8:00 AM Pacific
- Rest of Riot Regions: 5/14 11:00 AM Pacific
Brawl will be around until patch 25.13 goes live on June 24th, 2025 so make sure to give it a try while it's here!
SEA Servers LP Gains
With the launch of Season 2, we wanted to address how hard it is to reach certain ranks for the SEA servers following the merge we completed earlier this year. While we're pretty happy with the overall results of this merge and it accomplished our goals, not all servers are created equally so merging them had some impacts to ranked climbs for some servers; different player sizes, breadth of skill brackets, etc. So with the data from a full ranked season we made some adjustments to that climb. These adjustments ended up being a bit too harsh so we're rolling it back a bit. Players on the Singapore server should see better LP gains this patch as a result of this adjustment.
Champions

Cho'Gath
Base Attack Speed increased. Q damage decreased. E damage increased.
Cho'Gath is currently performing too well in mid, while needing some help in top lane. Changes to his base AS and Vorpal Spikes are aimed to close the gap between Hail of Blades and Grasp setups, while Rupture changes are targeted at generically powering down mid lane.
Base Stats
- Level 1 Attack Speed: 0.625 ⇒ 0.658
Q - Rupture
- Damage: 80 / 140 / 200 / 260 / 320 (+ 100% AP) ⇒ 80 / 135 / 190 / 245 / 300 (+ 100% AP)
E - Vorpal Spikes
- Damage: 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+ 30% AP) (+ 2.5 / 2.75 / 3 / 3.25 / 3.5% (+ 0.5% per Feast stack) of target's maximum Health) ⇒ 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+ 30% AP) (+ 2.5 / 2.85 / 3.2 / 3.55 / 3.9% (+ 0.5% per Feast stack) of target's maximum Health)

Kayn
Health Growth decreased.
Kayn has been an above average champion as of late, and Blue / Red Kayn are actually fairly even in terms of winrate, which is pretty cool! As a result, we're going for a generic nerf to both Kayns that won't hurt his already weak early game, and won't change the actual feel of the champion.
Base Stats
- Health Growth: 109 ⇒ 103

Lulu
Armor Growth decreased. R cooldown increased.
We've been nerfing Lulu a lot, but she's still quite powerful in soloqueue. We're looking to make some more unconventional nerfs to Lulu in order to get her to a more acceptable place long-term.
Base Stats
- Armor Growth: 4.9 ⇒ 4.6
R - Wild Growth
- Cooldown: 100 / 90 / 80 ⇒ 120 / 100 / 80

Fiddlesticks
Q fear duration decreased and damage adjusted. W damage increased.
Support Fiddlesticks is becoming more popular than jungle Fiddle which we're okay with… except for the fact that he's clearly more powerful as a support. We're looking to make adjustments that are roughly neutral for jungle and will bring the power down for support.
Q - Terrify
- Fear Duration: 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25 ⇒ 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 / 1.8 / 2
- Damage: 5 / 6 / 7 / 8 / 9% (+ 2% per 100 AP) of target's current health ⇒ 4 / 4.5 / 5 / 5.5 / 6% (+ 3% per 100 AP) of target's current health
- Empowered Damage: 10 / 12 / 14 / 16 / 18% (+ 4% per 100 AP) of target's current health ⇒ 8 / 9 / 10 / 11 / 12% (+ 6% per 100 AP) of target's current health
W - Bountiful Harvest
- Damage per second: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+ 35% AP) ⇒ 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+ 40% AP)

Naafiri
P monster damage reduced.
We're looking to bring down Naafiri Jungle just a bit more this patch as she's still somewhat overpowered and the most banned champion in the game, while leaving Mid mostly unscathed.
Passive - We Are More
- Packmate Monster Damage Multiplier: 155% ⇒ 135%

Senna
Passive crit chance and soul drop increased. Q heal decreased.
Though it's her more popular build, Senna's AD builds significantly underperform compared to her enchanter setups. We'd like to retain both of these builds as equally viable, so we're buffing her AD builds by giving her better sustained damage output through soul crit chance. We'd also like to significantly raise the viability of carry Senna, so we're giving a large boost to her soul drop rate when last-hitting. As these would buff all builds to some degree, we're slightly bringing down one of her AP ratios as compensation.
Passive - Absolution
- Crit chance per 20 stacks: 8% ⇒ 10%
- Soul drop rate on minion/monster kill: 8.4% ⇒ 14%
Q - Piercing Darkness
- Heal: 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 (+ 40% Bonus AD) (+ 60% AP) ⇒ 40 / 55 / 70 / 85 / 100 (+ 40% Bonus AD) (+ 50% AP)

Smolder
Passive Q damage/burn and E damage per stack increased.
We'd like to give Smolder a shot in the arm (wing) this patch. Since his last update managed to largely remove his stalling aspect from pro play, we think there's room to re-add some of his stack scaling that he lost.
Passive - Dragon Practice
- Q damage per stack: .3 ⇒ .4
- Q burn damage per 100 stacks: 0.4% ⇒ 0.5%
- E hit damage per stack: .1 ⇒ .12

Vi
Q minimum damage decreased, max damage increased. R Mana cost reduced, damage decreased.
Vi has become a somewhat stale jungle presence and is expressing her power largely in reliably one-shotting an opposing squishy in the late game with little room for counter-play. We'd like to re-add some variance in her gameplay without making her strictly weaker in the average case.
Q - Vault Breaker
- Minimum Damage: 45 / 70 / 95 / 120 / 145 (+ 80% Bonus AD) ⇒ 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 / 120 (+ 60% Bonus AD)
- Maximum Damage: 90 / 140 / 190 / 240 / 290 (+ 160% Bonus AD) ⇒ 100 / 150 / 200 / 250 / 300 (+ 150% Bonus AD)
- Cooldown refund when canceled is now more responsive.
E - Relentless Force
- Fixed a bug where E would crit for +100% total AD instead of the intended +75% total AD.
R - Cease and Desist
- Mana: 100 / 125 / 150 ⇒ 100
- Damage: 150 / 275 / 400 (+ 90% Bonus AD) ⇒ 150 / 250 / 350 (+90% Bonus AD)

Xin Zhao
Armor Growth decreased.
Xin Zhao is strong both in pro and soloqueue. Cutting down some armor growth so that he's a bit less tanky lategame without feeling super different for his players.
Base Stats
- Armor Growth: 5 ⇒ 4.4

Yuumi
R heal decreased.
Yuumi is still one of the strongest enchanters in the game right now. We're looking to overall lower how reliably she can keep her team healed up especially in teamfights.
R - Final Chapter
- Base Heal per Hit: 35 / 50 / 65 ⇒ 30 / 40 / 50
Items
We've completed a pass of AP itemization this patch, which has resulted in bringing down the over performers, buffing up the lower performers, and reshaping a few items toward new user bases.
Notable updates include Seraph's Embrace, where it'll often be stronger for mana-hungry champions like Cassiopeia and Kassadin, who will appreciate a more reliable shield. Horizon Focus is being broadened as a generally good item for any AP and Haste loving mage, and if any of its current users are left weak, we'll happily revisit them with buffs next patch. Hextech Rocketbelt is being pushed to be a more aggressive option that may woo assassins and light fighters like Evelynn and Ekko. Cryptbloom is growing up to be a more direct comparison with Void Staff. And generally we're pushing burst itemization to be completed sooner, thus giving faster power spikes to assassins.
Bloodletter's Curse
- Ability Power: 60 ⇒ 65
- Health: 350 ⇒ 400
- Magic Resist Shred per Stack: 5% ⇒ 7.5%
- Max Shred: 30% (unchanged)
Cryptbloom
- Ability Power: 60 ⇒ 75
- Life from Death Heal: 100 (+ 25% AP) ⇒ 100 (+ 20% AP)

- Total Gold Cost: 3600 ⇒ 3500
Seraph's Embrace

Stormsurge
- Total Gold Cost: 2900 ⇒ 2800
- Move Speed: 4% ⇒ 6%
- Gold on preemptive takedown: Removed
- Move Speed on Squall: Removed
Runes

Unsealed Spellbook
Unsealed Spellbook has been mostly absent from the game for quite some time. The fun part of this rune is getting lots of different summoner spells, so we're trying a version where you swap around much more frequently.
- Base recharge cooldown: 5 minutes ⇒ 4 minutes
- Recharge cooldown at maximum swaps: 2.5 minutes ⇒ 1.5 minutes
Mythic Shop Content Update
With this patch, we'll be adding in a significant amount of icons (bringing the total to 457 items that have a chance to appear each day!) that had previously been bundled with chromas to the daily Mythic Shop category. Those icons will be available at 5 ME each, and should make it much more common to see fresh offerings each day. As always, we'll be keeping an eye on how y'all experience the shop, and will continue to make adjustments and additions in the future!
Bugfixes & QoL Changes
QoL Changes
- We've made some changes under the hood to the social hub/friend's list this patch to pave the way for some work we have planned down the road. This may result in a few bugs popping up but we'll be keeping an eye out for any and address them as they come.
- Irelia W now pauses the duration of her passive instead of letting it go all the way down to .5 seconds and holding it there. If your passive cooldown is below 1 second when you press W, it'll be put to 1 second after releasing W. Also fixed a rare bug where W would not refresh passive stacks when it damaged an enemy.
- Elise Human W's Spiderling will now look for targets immediately upon being cast rather than after going to the location it was cast to.
- The Death Screen spectator UI can now be dragged around the screen, similar to Death Recap.
Bugfixes
- Fixed a bug that allowed players to be able to sell their recalls. Sorry but the shop keepers had no idea what to do with them.
- Fixed a bug that caused Mordekaiser to cast Q towards the mouse's position instead of the direction he is facing after using Flash or being displaced. We thought we addressed this bug back in 25.07, so we're (hopefully) back to squish it for good this time.
- Fixed a Practice Tool bug where using Reset Game after Atakhan spawns causes the river dot brush to be nonfunctional.
- Fixed a Practice Tool bug where minion buffs based on team advantage (damage, resistances, move speed) don't reset after using the Reset Game function.
- Fixed an issue where holding multiple F-Keys at once will move the camera back to your champion rather than allies. It should now stay on the first ally key that was pressed.
- Fixed an issue where Zac, Gangplank, and Nocturne's passive tooltip cooldown values were not functioning correctly.
- Fixed an issue where obtaining the Baron buff while having Symbiotic Soles equipped would grant infinite Empowered Recalls.
- Fixed an issue where the Rift Herald wouldn't regain a second charge after destroying an inhibitor if you used a charge on it.
- Fixed an issue where Ashe's E VFX for her and her skins would disappear if player sight didn't follow.
- Fixed an issue where Elise's E would reveal nearby wards if the champion hit by it was standing near one.
- Fixed an issue where Mel's Passive would fail to apply stacks on Mundo when his passive is active.
- Fixed an issue where Scryer's Bloom wouldn't reveal Voidgrubs.
- Fixed an issue where Final Boss Veigar would have gold from killing minions with his Q appear over his head.
- Fixed an issue where if Sylas would Hijack Olaf's R it wouldn't convert to AP.
- Fixed an issue where Nocturne moving to a feared enemy wouldn't trigger his E passive.
- Fixed an issue where Yorick's Mist Walker damage to jungle monsters would be inconsistent.
- Fixed an issue where if Leblanc would cast W and RW in quick succession, the RW would fail to deal the appropriate amount of damage.
- Fixed an issue where certain Hwei spells would be blocked by minions.
- Fixed an issue where Morde would cast his Q towards the mouse location instead of the direction he's facing.
- Fixed an issue where Aurora's Q recast and E would fail to trigger Horizon Focus.
Skin Updates
We don't usually talk about PBE in patch notes, but we wanted to call out that in 25.11 you'll see updates to the previous Black Rose Masquerade skins for Elise, Vladimir, Samira, and Renata Glasc. If you already own these skins, no action from you is required.
We hit pause on skins that would've normally dropped in this upcoming window so we could go back and give the Black Rose skins a little extra love; a mix of updates across models, textures, and VFX. We'll be sharing those skins here next patch when they release.
